Welcome to Spartan Assembly
Spartan Assembly is the Pleasant Valley High School’s student council. In Spartan Assembly, we dedicate our time and effort to making the school a more positive environment. Each member gets to be a part of several different projects, events, fundraisers, and activities that you can read about below!
Sign-Up to Donate Blood!
The first blood drive will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. By the looking at the guidelines below--under "Blood Drive"--you can learn if you are eligible to donate! The link to sign-up will be added soon. We look forward to seeing you there!
Spartan Assembly hosts the Homecoming Parade and Carnival. These events are a great place to have fun with friends and family! Our members find lots of enjoyment in planning these events and they’re two of the many events through which we get to know each other better.
Keep a lookout for when Homecoming Important Dates are announced for next year!
Community Service Project
Spartan Assembly strives to make the community a better place. To accomplish that, we do different projects to give assistance to those in need. A project that we have done in the past is working with the Mobile Food Pantry to give food to those who need it. Check back later for updates on events and projects for this year!
Spartan Assembly hosts multiple Blood Drives during the school year as well as over the summer. We work with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center to help willing donors contribute to the blood drive. The requirements to donate blood include: being 16 years of age, being 110 pounds, and donors must have an I.D. (If the donor is a student, they need a signed parent permission slip!)
Blood Drives 2021-2022:

Student Hunger Drive
Each year, Spartan Assembly works very hard to run the Pleasant Valley Student Hunger Drive at the Riverbend Food Bank. We collect food to help our local community and even students at our own school. This includes running many events to fundraise and collect food. Events include (but are not limited to) Fill the Truck, a teacher/school competition, as well as Powderpuff and Reverse-Powderpuff games. Everything we earn is given directly to the food bank!
The 2021 Student Hunger Drive is happening from
October 4th - November 11th
The Spartan Assembly will organize, lead, and promote activities to make the school a better place for the individual students and the surrounding community.
